Case Studies - APH news generation

As part of our news generation service, gosh pr created unique content for APH’s website which would add value for customers, increase site visits, help search engine optimisation, and produce a great media story.

Using the introduction of charges for hold baggage (Ryanair – March 06) as our news hook, gosh pr researched the baggage allowances and charges from all of the major airlines flying from the UK and produced a table which was loaded onto the APH website.  Alongside this we issued a press release, timed to hit the travel pages the weekend prior to the introduction of Ryanair’s charges.

The story was picked up by The Times online, who made APH its website of the week.  In addition, Telegraph Travel ran the story across half a page, and also included coverage in its online news.  Google News, MSN, Yahoo News, Google and Yahoo also carried the story, and the PR Web Newswire recorded more than 94,000 reads.

Issuing a release to broadcast media, including IRN and ITN, on the day the charges were introduced provided further coverage, including radio interviews which allowed APH to promote its key messages.
